Nell Grace Spears

Jun 20, 1940 — Aug 25, 2026

Nell Grace Spears-Born June 20, 1940, went home to be with the Lord August 25, 2026. Her childhood she lived in Grainger County among aunts, uncles and cousins who she loved so much. Later, her family moved to Corryton, TN. Those who have passed before her: Husband, Ronald(Johnny) Spears, Son, Randal(Randy) Spears, Great-grandchildren, Justin & Travis Vineyard-Best Friend(Roz Shavone) Surviving Family-Children, Ronnie(Gina) Spears, Rusty(Vicki) Spears, Robin(Dennis) Wise-Grandchildren, Natasha, Sharae, Alex, Denise & Anna 12 Great Grandchildren Sister and Best Friend for life-Lavurn Weisgarber---Many nieces and nephews. She loved her family so much. Her favorite act of love to them was cooking. It was a great treat if Grace cooked anything---because that was one of her gifts! She often said, “Cook and they will come” and we did! She loved to teach her grandkids all she knew about cooking and is one of their fondest memories…cooking with Mamaw. She was loved by all who knew her. School friends, aka The Golden Girls..which were her friends from high school. They stayed in touch all these years with lunches and class reunions. Mom went until her health would not allow her---She loved her Rule Girls. Everyone loved Mom because of her sincere, caring nature. She has been to several facilities for rehab the last few years. She got to know many of the staff and not only knew their names, but knew about their families and listened to their stories. I remember, one of them..Mom was the first to tell she was pregnant and she was so excited..Mom was just that kind of person. Mom worked until she was 74. She continued to be in touch with those work friends as well. She was a friend for life. Most importantly was Mom’s faith in the Lord. For many years, mom worked with the kids at church, cooking, cleaning…whatever needed to be done. The last few years, she loved listening to church on tv and her bible app. We are sad because she is not with us but rejoicing that she is able to walk, breathe and see again..We are blessed by a Savior who made a way.
