Nancy Brock Lewis

Nancy Brock Lewis, age 92, of North Knoxville, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025. Nancy worked at St. Mary’s Medical Center as a med tech before she had her 3 children, following the birth of her children she became the secretary at Oakwood Elementary School. Following the closure of Oakwood Elementary, Nancy moved to the new Christenberry Elementary where she retired in 2009. Nancy was in the last graduating class of Knoxville High School graduating with a 4.0. Nancy was a longtime member of Emerald Avenue Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, attended Mike Robert’s SS class, also she was a founding supporter of the Emerald Youth Foundation. She was preceded in death by parents, William and Nelle Brock; husband of 55 years, Jim Lewis; grandsons, Joseph Surber II, Billy Hucklebee; and son in law, Earnie Hucklebee Sr. She is survived by children, Jennifer Hucklebee, Jamie (Kathleen) Lewis, Jeffrey (Aida) Lewis; grandchildren, Nancy (Cory) Carmichael, Justin Lewis, Isabel Lewis, Charlie and Earnie Hucklebee Jr. (Lisa); great grandchildren, Josiah and Joshua Carmichael, Joanna and Asher Lewis, Adam and Mackenzie, Sierra Hucklebee, Alley (Charles) Gregory; brother, William (Leslie) Brock; nieces, Christen Davis and Shannon Stramel.

The family will receive friends from 4:00pm-6:00pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 2:30pm on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel to leave in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for a 3:00pm graveside service with Rev. Bruce Gaylon and Steve Diggs officiating.
