Nancy Anita Hunter

Nancy Anita Carroll Hunter, age 74, of Halls Crossroads, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Nancy was a 1969 Graduate of Halls High School and retired from BellSouth Business with 45 years of service. She adored her family, especially her granddaughters and was a devoted wife, mother and animal lover.

She was an accomplished pianist and played piano and sung in the choir at Union Baptist Church in Halls for many years of her life.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Frances Carroll; son in law, Chris Armstrong; and her children’s father, Samuel Maddox.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Hunter; daughter, Jennifer Maddox Armstrong; son, Bradley Maddox (Kristin); her four grandchildren, Lily, Makenzie, Ella Grace and Kendall; brother, Glenn Carroll and his wife, Janice; nephews, Austin (Allison) and Wesley; stepchildren, Jennifer, Buffy and Josh (Sarah) Hunter; and several cousins and life-long friends. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home-Halls Chapel, with a Memorial service to follow.
