Morgan Wayne Quinn – dedicated father, grandfather, brother, friend, and community leader – peacefully passed away surrounded by his adoring family in Knoxville, TN on Wednesday November 1st, 2023.
Morgan was born to JB and Mildred Quinn in Knoxville, TN on October 2nd, 1957. He graduated from Fulton High School and soon after began his career as an entrepreneur.
A few short years later, he welcomed his daughter Kristin into the world. In short work, the family added two sons: Tyler and Adam. He poured his heart and soul into his children, ensuring they knew that love conquered all.
Morgan was a truly exceptional character in his community. For over 30 years, Morgan ran a successful business that put his community and those in need ahead of profit and time.
When he was not working, he spent his time coaching his children’s sports teams, volunteering his time at fundraisers, and making his grandchildren smile and feel loved.
His devotion to family, friends, and the community was unlike any other. As was his commitment to right over wrong, good over evil, and love over hate.
He is survived by his loving children, Adam (Trevor), Tyler (Candace), and Kristin Moore (Danny). Forever cherished and remembered by his eight grandchildren, John Philip, Finley, Eleanor, Foster, Farrah, Georgia, Falynne, and Caroline. His exceptional siblings and their families; Nancy, Brad, and Brandon; Jimmy, Margaret, David, and Sandy; Mary; Eddie and Tammy; and Matthew.
He is preceded in death by JB Quinn (father), Mildred Quinn (mother), Betty Gambill (sister), Zeb Gambill (brother-in-law), Chris Seely (nephew), James Seely (brother-in-law), and Melvin Cantrell (brother-in-law).
Morgan's family will receive friends at 4:00pm, Monday, November 6, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel until the time of funeral service at 7:00pm, Rev. Mark McCoig officiating.
His family will respectfully hold a private graveside service on the morning of Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
