Monica Denise Williams, age 52, passed away surrounded by family on November 23, 2025.
Monica was a devoted mother, loving wife, proud Nae Nae, cherished daughter, little sister, and a friend to anyone lucky enough to know her. Monica loved her daughters and granddaughter more than anything in this world. They were her greatest joy, her deepest pride, and the center of everything she did. She cherished the life and memories her and her husband, Shawn, built together. Monica was also blessed with a circle of close friends, who were more like family to her. They walked beside her through laughter, tears, and every moment in between. She adored her work family and her clients, many of whom became lifelong friends. Monica was always the first to show up for the people she loved, offering support, laughter, and a comforting presence whenever it was needed. She had a way of making people feel safe, seen, and cared for, and her gift for bringing light into every room will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her husband, Shawn Williams; her daughters, Lakin (Caleb Plemons) and Allie Trotterchaud; her granddaughter, Isabella Reign; her father, Phil (Terri) Washer; her mother, Rita (Stan Brock) Washer; her mother and father in law, Janice and Gene Buxton; her stepdaughters, Peyton (Marc) Wright, Morgan and Addison Williams; step grandchildren, Azlynn Mae and Zaylei; her sister and brother in law, Beverly and Mark Sutton; her sister in law, Tonya (Bobby) Dennis; her nieces, Lauren Sutton and Lexi Price; her nephews, Chase Price, Bryson (Haylee) Dennis, and Logen Sutton; and many extended family members and friends.
Monica is remembered and deeply loved by countless friends and family whose lives were forever touched by her. Her love, laughter, and the joy she brought into the world will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will continue to guide and comfort us every day and will remind us just how much love she poured into us every day of her life.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 4:00pm until 6:00pm with a service to follow at 6:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel with Pastor Blake Conley. There will be a private graveside service held.
