Mildred Irene Cordy

Mildred Irene Cordy, age 77 of Knoxville, TN went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 27, 2025. She was of the Baptist faith and was a long-time member of Son Light Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, William Donald Cordy Jr.; parents, Cuba and Florence Pack; children, Patricia Dinwiddie, and Billy Cordy; siblings, Herman, Robert, Ed, Curtis, Bill, Willard, Cuba, Howard, Ray, Roy, Joe, Clarence, Dorothy, Sandra, and Linda; and grandchildren, Paul and Jennifer.

Mildred is survived by her children, Vernon Cordy (Carla), Beverly “Gail” Payne (Sam);brother, Donnie; grandchildren, Timmy, Heather, Eric, Lauren, Tyler, Shawna, Raven, Morgan, David, Brittany, and Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Skylar, JR., Angel, Mark, Charish, Eli, Alonna, Kylie, Matthew, Danielle, Ashton, Bryson, Jamison, Eva, Lilia, Morgan, Nevaeh, Emma, Jordan, Austin, Raelynn, Ayden, McKinley, Abigail, and Noah; great-great grandchild, Alayna; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 5:00-7:00PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, with a service to follow at 7:00PM, Evangelist Jeremiah Dixon officiating.
