Michael Bashun Sutton

Michael Bashun Sutton, age 36, of Knoxville, Tennessee, lost his battle with addiction on July 5, 2025.  Originally from Forest Park, Georgia, Bashun had made his home in Corryton, Tennessee, since 2007.Bashun was a kind-hearted, polite, mannerable, and funny man—someone who was easy to like and hard to forget. He was artistic from a young age and loved to draw. In recent years, music became his greatest passion, especially playing his guitar.He is survived by his mother, Cheryl Oakes Sutton; his two children, Mya and Malachi; his aunt, Chanda Brown; and his godmother, Trish Neal. He also leaves behind brothers, sisters, cousins, and a host of other family and friends who love and miss him dearly.He is preceded in death by his father, Mike Sutton, and his closest cousin, Todd Oakes—no doubt they were there to greet him at Heaven’s gate.At this time, no services are planned.
