Michael “Mike” Delbert Satterfield, 74, of Knoxville, TN passed away peacefully at his home and went to be with the Lord at 6:00 a.m. , Friday, April 10th, 2026.Born on March 14, 1952 in Knoxville, TN, as the son of the late Delbert Satterfield and Nancy (Talley) Satterfield. He grew up in the Gibbs community attending Gibbs Elementary, Middle and High School through 10th grade. After moving to Florida, he graduated with the class of 1970 from Seminole High School in Seminole, Florida. On December 27, 1980, he married Rebecca “Becky” Ann Humphreys and they were married for 45 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, granddaddy, uncle and friend to his daughter, granddaughter, nieces and nephews and all of his friends. After Mike was married, he owned and operated “Washington Pike Gulf Station”, a full-service gas station and auto service center for many years. Then he worked at NAPA Auto Parts, his current employer for almost 20 years. His friendliness and willingness to help everyone was such that no one ever felt like a stranger but always left feeling like a good friend. Mike was a member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church and had many gifts, talents, and interests designed by the Lord and around His amazing creation. He loved music and played trumpet and piano when he was young, and then loved supporting Lindsey in band, church choir and orchestra and church musicals, and then Lily in show choir - both who were his greatest pride and joy. He also loved the outdoors and outdoor activities including riding dirt bikes, NASCAR, fishing, boating and the beach.He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Satterfield of Knoxville, TN; brother, Tony Satterfield of Knoxville, TN; and father-in-law, Harvey Humphreys of Knoxville, TN. Survivors include his wife Becky Satterfield of Knoxville, TN; daughter and son-in-law Lindsey and Freddie Cox of Knoxville, TN; granddaughter, Lily Cox of Knoxville, TN; mother Nancy Satterfield of Knoxville, TN; nephew, Tyler Satterfield of Maynardville, TN; brother-in-law Bobby Humphreys of Batesville, IN; several treasured nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at Mynatt Funeral Home of Fountain City, TN on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 with visitation from 5-7 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. officiated by Reverend Rocky Hodge. Friends and Family will meet for a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 16th, 2026 at Greenwood Cemetery on Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN.
