Michael Amos Mitchell

Michael Amos Mitchell, age 71 of Mascot passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, December 1, 2023. He was a child of God and he enjoyed fishing and watching Tennessee sports. Michael worked for Pepsi for 24 years. Preceded in death by parents; Amos and Imogene Mitchell and special Uncle Verlin Lowrey. Survived by his wife of 46 years Loretta Mitchell, children; David (Kimberly) Mitchell, Steve (Marissa) Mitchell, Rebecca (Daniel) Headrick, Jimmy (Traci) Mitchell, Jason (Diane) Mitchell, grandchildren; Kellie, Kristin, Devon, Austin, Valerie, Colton, Emily, Katelynn, Alexis, Hunter, Jacob, Emma, Bradley and Marie, great grandchild; Blair, special great nieces; Ashley & Sommer and special cousin Sharon Sharp. Receiving of Friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM followed by a funeral service on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Rev. Ray Barber Officiating.
