Michael William Geames

Michael William Geames, age 56 went to his heavenly home to be with Jesus and his loving mother on December 11th, 2025. Michael was truly an indescribable man. He was the ultimate problem solver, a loving husband, father, brother, and an amazing friend. People who knew him, knew they had someone on their side through thick and thin. He loved his family deeply and passionately.

Michael is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Geames, grandparents Martin and Maude Humphrey, brother Marty Geames, nephew Matt Geames, mother-in-law Edith Gresham, and brother-in-law Ray Gresham.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Tanya Geames, his children Chase and Izzy Geames, and Madison Geames, granddaughters Harlee and Gracie Geames, brothers Billy (Carolyn) Geames, Bobby (Angie) Geames, Victor (Patsy) Geames, and Scott (Susan) Geames, brother-in-laws Jerry (Brenda) Gresham, and Buster Gresham, sister-in-laws Lisa (Jerry) Burrell, Phyllis Stacey, and Rhonda Romines, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm with Scott Lee officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:15 am Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel and proceed in procession to Anderson-Gouffon Cemetery for a 12:00 pm graveside service.
