Melissa (Missy) Lynn Taylor, age 61, of Knoxville, Tennessee, died peacefully in the early hours of Sunday, May 11, 2025, at her home. Missy was raised in the Christian Faith and was preceded in death by her grandmother, Georgia Chappell; mother, Brenda Chappell Jones and Tyler Franklin. She is survived by her companion, Gene Franklin; children, Tonya (Tyler) Thompson, Amanda (Matt) Iannacone and Tiffany Blanton; father, Lewis Jones, grandchildren, Griffin Lauth, Violet Thompson, Marissa Blanton and Brooklyn Blanton; siblings, Tony Jones and Stacy Wipper, Robbie Parke; niece, Channing (Nicole) Carden; nephews, Ron (Melissa) Casado, T.J. and Dyllon Garner; former spouse, David Taylor and dear friend and neighbor, Pat.
