Matthew "Bull" Paul Brooks

Matthew Paul Brooks "Bull" age 48 of Corryton, TN laid his eyes on his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 13, 2024.  He was a Gibbs High School graduate of the Class of 1994.  He was a faithful member of Miracle Baptist Church.  He was a member of White Lightening 3 on 3 championship team.  He played Flag Football for the Meat Merchants.  He loved the Tennessee Vols and anything that had to do with sports.  His children and grandsons were his world.  He taught them how to be tough, be a friend to all, love each other and to love the Lord.  He was their biggest fan.  Preceded in death by his father, Archie Brooks and sister, Rachel Brooks.  Survived by his children, Tyler Gorman (Nicole), Taylor Brooks (Davon), Braylon Dre' Brooks (Raegan) and Joshua Sullivan (Briley); mother of his children and best friend, Shautia Brooks; loving papaw to Brentley Gorman and Greyson Sullivan; mother, Myra Brooks; twin brother, Daniel Brooks (Kristy) and sister, Rebekah Brooks-Allen (Alpo); lots of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  He was dearly loved and had many friends as he never met a stranger.  The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2024 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City.  Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024 Mynatt Funeral Home, Founatin City Chapel, Rev.
