Mary Josephine Whitt, age 79, of Washburn, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Jo was a member of Emory Valley Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alden and Hettie Acuff; sisters, Shirley Coffey and Evelyn Acuff. Jo is survived by loving husband of sixty years. Thomas A. Whitt; son, Keith Whitt, daughter, Kristi (Gary) Kupfer, son, Kent (Kim) Whitt; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM. Pastor Craig Cummings officiating. Family and friends will meet by 12:45 PM Friday, May 17, 2024 at Cleveland Cemetery (193 Locust Grove Road, Washburn, TN 37888 for a 1:00 PM interment service.
