Mary "Elaine" Vance

Mary “Elaine” Vance, age 74, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 11, 2026. She was a lifelong member of Texas Valley Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Harold Leamon Nelson and Dorothy Lee Nelson.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William “Bill” Vance; children, Scott (Jennifer) Vance and Jason Vance; grandchildren, John Michael, Preston, Parker, Paisley Vance; siblings, Ronnie Nelson and Penny Nelson; niece, Julie (Justin) Long and their children Jack, Henry, Evette; and niece, Ashley (Kevin) Isenberg and their children, Isaiah and Isaac.

The family will hold a Call at Convenience from 11:00am – 5:00pm on Tuesday, April 14,2026 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel.

Family and friends will meet at Ft. Sumter Community Cemetery on Wednesday, April 15,2026, at 10:45am for an 11:00am Graveside Service, with Pastor Bill McCarter officiating.
