Mary Ruth Cox

Mary Ruth Cox, age 78 of Halls Crossroads, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016. She was a member of Freeway Church of God and retired from Levi Strauss. Preceded in death by parents, Esker Archer and Lillie Mae Hankins Archer; brothers, Odra Archer and Judson Archer; sisters, Mava Archer Helms, Veda Archer Butler, and Barbara Archer Crippen Turner. Survived by daughter, Sherry Pennington and husband Arvil; granddaughters, Candice Roseberry and husband Kevin, and Amanda Parton and husband Trevor; great-grandchildren, Dylan Reese and Kane Mallory Roseberry; brother, Edward Archer; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow. Family and friends will then proceed to New Loyston Cemetery for interment.
