Mary Paula Brooks

Mary Paula Brooks, age 57, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022. Mary was born in Knoxville, TN to William “Bill” Vick and Fay Brooks on December 7, 1964. She graduated from high school in 1982. Mary spent the last 20 years with her soul mate, Wayne Mays. She loved going to concerts, being at the lake, being with her beloved dog, Davina, and spending as much time with her family as possible. Mary loved the beach and going on trips. She is preceded in death by father, William Vick; mother, Fay Brooks, the love of her life and soulmate, Wayne Mays; grandmother, Lena Mae Rhea; step-daughter, Brandi Strader She is survived by children, Charles Williams (Lauren), Matthew Williams (Stephanie), Sarah Alestas (Venny); bonus children and their families, Lil Wayne Selvy (Michelle), Linda Spivey (Bryon), Hollie Mays-Cody, Libby Guy (Gini); 5 grandchildren, Harmony, Elijah, Nolan, Journey and Joshua; stepmother and good friend, Barbara Bennett; siblings, John Vick and Shannon Vick; special friends, Tammy, Wanda and Jane. Family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, October 23, 2022, from 4:00pm until time of funeral service at 6:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Rev. Jack Chapman officiating. Family and friends will meet on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel at 10:00am to go in procession to New Gray Cemetery for an 11:00am graveside service.
