Mary Alice Mynatt

Mary A. Mynatt, 81, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on June 27, 2025, while surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Howard T. Mynatt; her parents, Charles and Beatrice Vandergriff; her infant son, Howard Garfield; and her brother, Charles H. Vandergriff III. She is survived by her children, Lee and Rachelle Mynatt; her sister, Rebecca Wilmer; her nephews, Glen Jackson and Kyle Jackson; and her nieces, Beth Jackson, Paige Jackson, and Tiffany Jackson. Mary was an alumna of Mount Vernon High School and the Washington School of Medical Technology. She had been a devoted Jehovah's Witness since 1975. Mary and her husband, Dr. Howard Mynatt, served the Halls community through their animal clinic until 1990. Mary will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community. The family extends special gratitude to the Wires family for their unwavering support during times of need. A visitation will be held at Mynatt Funeral Home (Halls Chapel) on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friends and family will meet Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 10:45am at Greenwood Cemetery for an 11:00am graveside service.
