Mary “Liz” Fallis, 82, of Knoxville, TN passed away February 21, 2026. She is survived by her daughters, Beth Carter (David) and Sandra Payton (Richard); sister, Margie Davenport; granddaughter, Rebecca Norris (Patrick); great grandchildren, Olivia Brown, Ayden Brown, Jacob Brown, Alice Carter, Nicole Roberts, Michael Roberts and Ashley Norris and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Prater and Willie Mae Kennedy; sisters, Anna Lowe and Charlotte Swafford; brothers, Bobby Joe Kennedy, Jim Kennedy, Johnny Kennedy, Ed Kennedy and Tom Kennedy.
Liz cherished her family deeply, and nothing brought her more joy than time spent with her great‑grandchildren. She had a lifelong love for the ocean, cheered passionately for the University of Tennessee, and was anything but an average grandmother. A true spitfire, Liz spoke her mind, lifted others up, and lived with a boldness that made her unforgettable.
She created countless memories with her family, especially during their many trips to Disney World — with the final visit becoming the most treasured of all. Her warmth, humor, and fierce love will be carried forward by everyone lucky enough to have known her.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00pm February 26, 2026 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. A service will immediately follow at 5:00pm with Bro. Mike Segers officiating.
Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City is honored to serve the family of Liz Fallis.
