Mary Elizabeth Murray

Mary E. Murray, age 101, of Maryville, TN, passed away peacefully in the afternoon hours of Wednesday, June 15, 2022 surrounded by her beloved family. Mary was a longtime member of Church of the Brethren. Being a minister’s wife, Mary was a woman of strong faith throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Reverend Edward L. Murray, Sr.; grandchildren, Geoffrey S. Murray, Patrick Donahue and Melanie Donahue. Mary is survived by loving and devoted children, Dr. Edward L. (Orpha) Murray, Jr., Rebecca A. Donahue, Mary Lou (Gordon) Couch; grandchildren, Michelle Hunley, Jason P. Couch, Brandon S. Couch, Brian Donahue, Lisa Donahue, Eddie Donahue and Aaron Donahue; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a gracious thank you to the caring staff of Blount Memorial Medical Center and the Hospice staff. Family and friends will meet 3:00 PM Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Church of the Brethren Cemetery for a graveside service with Reverend Jeff Jones officiating.
