Mary Kate "Katie" Bruhin passed away on April 10, 2026.
Katie will be remembered as a woman who found her greatest joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life, especially time spent with those she loved most. She cherished her time with her husband, Frank, and together they built a life full of beautiful traditions. They spent their winters in Florida and their summers at their beloved lake house, creating countless cherished memories along the way.
She was deeply proud of her family and loved them dearly, holding close relationships not only with her relatives but also with her many friends. Katie had a special love for gatherings, bringing people together and enjoying the warmth of connection and laughter.
Katie had a creative and gentle spirit. She had a passion for birds and found joy in painting them. She was also a talented musician who loved playing the dulcimer, sharing her gift and love of music with those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Christine and Leonard Majors; brothers: Richard A Majors, Leroy A Majors, and Herbert Majors; sister, Edna L Pratt; and husband, Clarence Frank Bruhin.
Katie is survived by 7 nieces and nephews, 3 step-daughters, and numerous step-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dalia (“Sanny”) for the love and care she gave Katie over the last eight years.
Katie’s life was a beautiful reflection of love, creativity, and kindness, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In accordance with Katie's wishes, there will be no services.
