Mary Melissa Abbott

Mary Melissa Abbott, age 53, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, April 28 2025. 

She was of the Baptist faith and attended a bible study each Sunday at her apartments. Mary was a loving mother, sister, daughter and grandmother. 

She was preceded in death by mother, Patsy. 

Survivors include, father, Carl Coward; children, Ashley Coward, Lance Abbott (Talina); brother, Kenny Coward; sisters, Carla McGuire and Tracy Butturini; grandchildren, Brayden Houser, Bayden Willis, Keegan Rolen and several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 11am - 12pm Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel (2829 Rennoc Rd, Knoxville). We will meet at Boyds Creek Cemetery (1262 Jim Fain Rd, Sevierville) at 1pm, Sunday, May 4, for the Graveside Service.
