Marvin Dale Deasey

Marvin Dale Deasey age 80, of Knoxville, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026. He was born on March 30, 1945, to his late parents, Martin and Hazel Deasey in Los Angeles, CA. Marvin was full of life, he had a particular charm that made him friends everywhere he went. He loved music and traveling with his wife. He was very proud of the fact that he was employed for 42 years with the same employer before retiring.

In addition to his parents, Marvin was also preceded in death by his 6 siblings and grandson, Derrick Carlson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Kathy Cain Deasey; sons, Michael (Lori) Deasey and Jeff Deasey; daughter, Dianna (Ed) Carlson; grandson, Dustin Carlson; nieces and nephews; special longtime friends, Bill Johannes and Don and Barbara Queen; and a large group of kids he referred to as the “Green Acres Gang” that were very near to his heart throughout the years.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 6:00–7:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, followed by a 7:00 PM funeral service. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation https://t2t.org
