Martha Camron Rogers

Martha Cameron Rogers, 62, passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2026. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a BA in English and a Masters of Arts in Linguistics from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. She held down the fort whenever her husband was out to sea.

Martha grew up in Concord, Tennessee, which is now Farragut, where she was a tough as nails tomboy that was one of a crew of neighborhood kids that roamed the hills of her Belaire woods. Many forts built and trails blazed by this curly headed kid that found trouble and mischief where ever she went. Between the go-carts in the summer and the sleds in the winters, she always made life fun but sometimes ended up in the ER.

She attended UT even before she graduated from high school and worked her butt off to ensure she had the best grades she could get. She met her future husband in February 1983 who was blessed enough to spend the next 42 years building a life together.

She was a very proud Navy wife who kept the home fires burning for 20 years with all the broken appliances, music recitals, and working full time. She always made where ever she lived a beautiful home.

Martha was a member of a lady’s group on Facebook and had organized 3 lunches to gather, eat and visit with her new friends. She called her core group the “OG 4” and was looking forward to the next luncheon scheduled for later this month. She found purpose when she met her friend Judy, who was starting a healing with horses’ therapy group. Martha was the proud secretary of “Saving Grace Healing with Horses” and was looking forward to helping more people.

We lost our beautiful girl on Sunday morning September 6th 2026. Martha was a beautiful soul that will forever be in our hearts and will never be forgotten.

She was the wife of Donald C. Rogers, mother to Dylan Rogers, daughter to Lana Jo Bridges McElhaney and Robert Fielden, and the late Lowell D. McElhaney.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm with a 3:00pm memorial service to follow at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel.
