Martha Sue Douglas

Martha S. Douglas, age 84, of Knoxville, TN, went home to be with the Savior she sang about most all her life.  Martha was born on August 29, 1939, in Briceville, TN. She was a faithful member of Bays Mtn. Baptist Church.  Martha is survived by her son, Joey (Nancy) Douglas; daughter, Katy Humphrey; grandsons, Johnathon (Lydia) Humphrey and Jason (Rebecca) Humphrey; granddaughter, Megan (Shannon) Hand; great grandchildren, Isabella, Anneliesa, Penelope, Ally, Anabelle, Amelia, Aiden, Atlas, and Zyla as well as many special nieces and nephews who called her “Mamaw D.” She is also survived by her brother, Russell (Louise) Sharp and sisters, Betty Lamb and Faye Crandell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Condy Britton and Marie Rice Sharp; brothers, Roy Glenn Sharp and Condy Britton Sharp Jr; sister-in-law, Thelma Sharp; brother-in-law, Walden Crandell; son-in-law, Donald Humphrey; and grandson, Jacob Douglas. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2024 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City followed by a 7:00 p.m. funeral service, Rev. Rusty Sharp and Rev. Jim Yeary officiating.  Family and friends will meet 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Baker's Forge Cemetery 2732 Demory Road Lafollette, TN  for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service, Rev.
