Marshall Lee Childress

Marshall L. Childress, of Halls, passed away on July 5, 2023, at 93 years of age. He was an avid UT fan, especially football. He loved watching ball games, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. His kind heart and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Daisy Childress; second wife, Elizabeth Childress; son, Vic Childress; and his three sisters whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his granddaughter, Kelli Knight (Ray); great granddaughters, Madison Payne and Lola Knight; nephew, Bob Ellison (Mary). Receiving of friends will be held at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel on Sunday, July 9, 2023, from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. Family and friends will then meet at 3:45pm at Pleasant View Cemetery in Maynardville for an 4:00pm graveside service with full military honors provided by Tri-County Honor Guard.
