Mark Wayne Proffitt

Mark Wayne Proffitt age 62 of Knoxville, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025 at North Knoxville Medical Center.  He was of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Karns High School.  He was employed by C.E.D., he loved rock and roll music, loved dogs, and an avid University of Tennessee football fan.  Survivors; Partner, Claudette Perkins; and her son, Christopher Sparks; his best friend, Sean (Michelle) Robertson; and his C.E.D. work family.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel followed by a 3:00 pm Celebration of Life Service, Wes Drake eulogist.  Condolences may be expressed at www.mynattfh.com.
