Mark Allan Jett, age 63, of Powell, died Friday, August 22, 2025 following a long struggle with kidney disease.
He is preceded in death by grandparents John and Rosa Larue Jett and Frank and Ruby Arnold Breeden; parents Don and Barbara Breeden Jett; brother, Randy Jett; aunt, Sue Hensley; and parents-in-law Herbert and Edith Redwine
He is survived by wife of 37 years Donna Redwine Jett; daughter, Sarah Drescher (Adam); sister, Donna Bartkiewicz (Tom); aunts, Lorene Seymour (Wayland) and Kathy Breeden; uncle, Gene Breeden (Judy); sisters-in-law, Joyce Wooten and Linda Bartlett; nieces, Nikki Wooten and Hannah Bartkiewicz; and nephew, Ben Susong (Mandi).
Mark was a graduate of Halls High School (Class of 1980) and Tennessee Institute of Electronics. He was an electronic technician at the University of Tennessee before his retirement. He won first place in the Tennessee Driver Education Contest in 1979.
Mark and Donna met playing in a band (Mystis) in 1985 and later founded RedwineBlu with friends James Bluford and Jeff Bluford. He took pride in producing and engineering the band's original music.
A celebration of Mark's life will be held at his home at 8200 Spruceland Rd. in Powell on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. A graveside service for family will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 10:00 am at the McHaffie-Jett Cemetery on Hankins Lane.
