Margaret Elizabeth Miles

Margaret Elizabeth Miles “Shirley”, age 89, of Mascot, TN went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. Shirley was a faithful member to Godsway Baptist Church. Shirley retired from Burlington Sock Factory, Shoney’s of Knoxville, Inc. and Knox County Schools. Shirley was a loving mother, and feisty Granny to all who knew her. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Homer A. Miles; both her parents, Robert and Myrtle Petree; all her siblings; Bobby Petree, Betty Long, Edna Brown, Joyce McGinnis and Don Petree; son in law, Elmer Atkins; and grand son in law, Joey Sherrod. She is survived by her children, R. Allen (Mary Ellen) Miles of Tucson, AZ; Tammy (Gary) Thomas of Knoxville, TN and Martha Atkins of Mascot, TN; grandchildren, Chris Bell, Amy Sherrod, Shaun Thomas, Amanda (Kevin) Shelby, Chrissy Atkins and Sandy (Richard) Lowe; and several great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.
