Malcolm "Mal" Jackson Scarbro Jr.

Malcolm "Mal" Jackson Scarbro Jr., age 73, of Powell went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2024. Malcolm was a faithful member of Glenwood Baptist Church. He retired after 30 years from Halls High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents Malcolm J. Scarbro Sr. and Margie Scarbro. He is survived by his wife Janet Scarbro; sons Jay (Lauren) Scarbro and Chad (Amber) Scarbro; grandchildren Henley, Reese, Graysen "GT", Brayden, Ryleigh Grace, Brody and Brooks Scarbro; sisters Tommie and Carole (Bob); also leaving behind nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 4-6 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel with a service to follow, Rev. Chad Scarbro will be officiating. Family and friends will be meeting at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens at 10:45 AM for an 11 AM interment on Sunday, January 14, 2024.
