Louie A. Lam, Jr., age 91, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Friday, December 27, 2024 with his family by his side. He was a member of Park West Church of God and a member of the electrical union, IBEW for over fifty-five years. He was a 4-year veteran of the United States Navy. Louie was an avid fisherman in his younger days. He enjoyed woodworking, sketching, drawing and painting. Louie was preceded in death by his parents, Louie Lam, Sr. and Ella Rae Lam; son, Louie A. Lam, III and several siblings. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Helen Kay (Brill) Lam; children, Joseph (Joan) Lam; Donna Kay (Matthew) Harris and Mitzi (Edward) Tobin; seven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Touseull; Joann White and Paula (Boyd) Troxell; several nieces, nephews and other relatives with several friends too numerous to count. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Monday, December 30, 2024 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM. Reverend Jeremy McGinnis officiating. Family and friends will meet by 8:15 AM Monday, January 6, 2025 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (Gov. John Sevier Hwy) for an 8:30 AM committal service.
