Lonnie Howard Roach

Lonnie H. Roach, age 80, of Heiskell, TN, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He was born on March 31, 1945.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry E. Roach and Della Mae (Wilson) Roach, sister, Joyce Taylor, and daughter, Tammy Sue (Roach) McGill. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Wilma Sue (Taylor) Roach, daughters, Sherry (Jerry) Lampkin, Jennifer (William-Billy) Beavers, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one due in May. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

He worked for and retired from Brownlee Construction and Knoxville Barge. Lonnie never met a stranger. Everyone who was ever blessed enough to meet him loved him. He will be greatly missed by many family and friends.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 12:00-2:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Family and friends will go in procession to Fort Sumter Community Cemetery immediately following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home.
