Lon H. Gilliam

Lon H. Gilliam Sr, age 73, of Strawberry Plains passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. Lon was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Opal Gilliam; brother, Bobby Lee Gilliam; sisters, Gladys Reeser, Linda King, and Brenda Strickland; wife, Chiquita Gilliam; daughters, Tammy Murphy and Patricia Gilliam; and granddaughter, Brittany Gilliam. He is survived by his brothers, Alvin Gilliam and Jesse Gilliam; sister, Shirley Hurst; children, Cindy (Howard) Overholt, Lon W. Gilliam, Lon H. (Cigi) Gilliam Jr, and Lori (Eric) Cordy; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a 7:00 pm memorial service to follow with Rev.
