Lois Marcella Underwood

Lois Marcella Underwood, age 88 of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Lois was a longtime employee of TVA and member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Hazel Smithers; daughters, Katy and Myra. She will be greatly missed by her son and daughter-in-law, James T. Underwood Jr. and Robin; granddaughters, Lori Kirkland and Brittany Bracco (Carmen); great-grandchildren, Audrey, Noah, and Lucas Kirkland; sister Fran Roberts; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude to staff and management of Trinity Assisted Living. Family and friends will meet at 2:45 pm on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Greenwood Cemetery for a 3:00 pm graveside service officiated by Rev. David McGill.
