Linda Sue Jones

Linda Sue Jones age 77, of Knoxville, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ellen Tindell, daughter, Melissa Thompson, and brothers, Frank Tindell and Maynard Tindell.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Dallas Jones, sons, Bobby Joe (Michaela) Gregg, Jr. and Shane Gregg and as Linda would say her daughter-in-love, Joy; grandsons: Zavin Gregg, Zachary Erbaugh, Jonas Thompson and Trent Thompson; brothers and sisters: Dot (Jack) Maples, AC Tindell and Malcolm Tindell, several nieces and nephews, special friend and neighbor, Carolyn Hodge, life-long best friend, Wanda Williams, and Linda’s beloved pet, Tiny.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 30, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, followed by a 7:00 PM funeral service officiated by Bishop Terry Barnwell. Family and friends will meet Tuesday July 1, 2025, at 9:00 AM and travel in procession to East Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery (John Sevier Hwy) for a 10:00 AM interment. Pallbearers: Zavin Greggs, Zachary Erbaugh, Jonas Thompson, Trent Thompson, Bubba Wilson, Isaac Wilson, and Ryan Currington.
