Linda Susan Ellis

April 22, 1963 – June 12, 2024

Linda Ellis, devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away just 5 months after her loving husband of 40 years, Gary Wayne Ellis. She fought hard the last few months, but the pain of losing her husband was just too much for her to bear; she just couldn’t go on without him. We take comfort knowing that they are now finally together.

Linda was a beautiful, attractive woman, with an amazing sense of humor and a loving soul. Aside from her good looks, Linda was ‘a hoot’ who loved telling jokes and prank-calling family and friends. She loved making people laugh and brought joy to so many people’s lives.

Linda is preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Gary; by her parents, Walt and Sally McMullen of New York; her brother, Bob Felter; niece, Heather Diamond Nichols; nephew, Joshua Felter; sisters, Charlotte Bell and Donna Prittchit; and finally, son-in-law and special friend, Mark Easley.

She leaves behind her loving children, Randy Mallicoat Jr. (Melanie); Kimberly Mallicoat; Jessica Mallicoat (Scott Williams); Jennifer Blevins (Josh); Dylan Johnson (Lily); Austin Mallicoat (Marie); grandchildren, Chase, Meridith, Eden, Lil-Chris (Jules), Haley, Colby, Caden, Joshy, Chloe, Caden and Lexi Williams; her loving sisters and her best friends, Christy Lindsey (Aunt Chris), Wanda Gallager (Tom Crum); brother, Jim McMullen (Sheila) and kids; special nieces, Brandy Owneby, and Misty Sexton, Chesity Shelby; nephews, Eddie Barger, Ray Nelson (Sarah); step-daughters, Jennifer Galyon (Kevin) and kids, Christy Henderlight; many more nieces, nephews, family members and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 14, 2024, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Mrs. Ellis will be laid to rest on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 11:00 am at Fort Sumter Cemetery (4846 Salem Church Road, Knoxville, TN 37938).

The staff at Mynatt Funeral Home is honored to serve the family and friends of Mrs. Linda Ellis.
