Linda Sue Damewood

Linda Sue Damewood, age 78, of Corryton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023. Linda loved and cared for so many and will be truly missed. She always had an open door and open heart for anyone in need. She lit up the room when she walked in, and she found humor in everything. Over many years, Linda was active in several local senior centers and volunteered for many community organizations. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mae Wolfenbarger, brothers Charles Wolfenbarger and Floyd Wolfenbarger, and sisters Juanita Kitts and Sallie Ruth. She is survived by her loving husband of over 62 years, Carl Damewood; children, Carla Mashinski (David), Cynthia Knisley (Douglas), Angela McCall (Joseph), Samuel Clint Damewood, and many beloved foster children, including Brandy Humphrey (Eddie, Emma, Elijah, Easton); grandchildren and lights of her life Cayla Beard (Tanner), Steven Knisley, Adriana Burgess (Michael), Joseph C. McCall III, Justus McCall; great grandchildren Avery Jane Burgess, Amelia Beard, and Josie Sue Burgess. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Monday, April 10, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with a procession to Greenwood Cemetery for a 3:00 PM graveside service.
