Lillian Dora Brittain

Lillian Dora Brittain, age 88, of Powell passed away April 12, 2023. Lillian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age which truly defined her entire life. Lillian was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Powell for 60 years, where she served as a girls’ Sunday School teacher and interceded for many while on the prayer team. She lived out her faith by sharing her testimony and witnessing anywhere she went.

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Richard E Brittain; parents George and Myrtle Martin; siblings, Edwin Martin, Kenneth Martin, Naomi “Dimple” Sharp, Mae Brannon, Junior Martin, and William David Martin.

Survived by her children, Richard E Brittain Jr and Lisa (Randy) Jones; grandchildren, Rachel (Jonathan) Young and Natalie (Wayne) Golden; great-grandchildren, Isaac Golden, Maggie Young, Judah Golden, Addilynn Golden; siblings, Charles Martin, Oma Lee Garrett, Kitty Casto, Betty Jean Cogdill and their families.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel from 5:00pm until time of funeral service at 7:00pm with Rev. Richard Brittain, Jr. officiating. Private graveside services will be held by the family.

Lillian had a heart for missions and spreading the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
