Leroy Franklin Humphrey

Leroy Franklin Humphrey, age 89, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. He was a graduate of Halls High School and a Veteran of the United States Army.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mae Belle Humphrey; stepson, Joey Flatord; grandson, Hunter Flatford; sisters, Geneva, Geraldine and Maxine; and brother, Bob.

He is survived by wife, Judy Flatford; son, Levi McGhee; stepdaughter, Jennifer Flatford; brother, Ronnie Humphrey; as well as several nieces and nephews and long-time friends, Gary Criswell, Jim Sherrod, General Gentry and Handy Kiser.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel (4131 East Emory Road, Knoxville, TN 37938). Followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM officiated by Pastor Gary Criswell. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM and travel in procession to Bookwalter Church Cemetery, 4218 Central Avenue Pike Knoxville, TN 37912, for a 12:00 PM graveside service.
