Leon Poore Jr.

Leon Poore, Jr., age 70, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Leon was an avid Nascar fan and loved fishing with his grandson, Hayden. He owned and operated Poore's Tree Service for many years.

Preceded in death by his father, Leon Poore, Sr.; mother, Louise Bazel; sisters, Sounal G. Berry and Donna Grace.

Survived by wife of 53 years, Gloria; sons, Richard L. Poore and wife Mercy, Philip W. Poore and wife Kayla, Andrew R. Poore and Lacey  Hooper; brother, Robert L. Poore; sister, Linda Wills; granddaughter, Cheyanne Stemeye; grandsons, Hayden Poore, Ethan L. Poore and Nico H. Poore; special friends, Robert (Eddie) and Sherry Fleetwood; special niece, Gabriel Land and husband Chris and many other nieces and nephews; and a wonderful daughter-in-law, Kayla, many thanks.

The family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home, 2829 Rennoc Road, Knoxville, TN 37918 from 5-7 pm Monday, May 18, 2026 and the funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Devin Barnette officiating.
