Leanette Swindle Glaze

Leanette Swindle Glaze, age 86, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023. Leanette was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Tessie Swindle; brother, Edward Swindle; sisters, Inez Atkins and Mary Davis. Leanette is survived by her husband of sixty-seven years, John Glaze; daughter and son in law, Cindy and David Kitts; son and daughter in law, Tim and Lori Glaze; grandchildren, Ashleigh (Marc) Pope, Rachel (Taylor) Babcock, Houston (Lauren) Kitts, Katelyn Glaze and Andrew (McKenzie) Kitts; great grandchildren, Jase and Logan Babcock, Xavier Pope and Emerson Kitts; twin sister and the other part of Leanette’s heart, Janette Hunt; brother, Haskell Swindle. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Beaver Dam Baptist Church in memory of Leanette. Leanette always told her loved ones “I love You” or “Love You Always” when saying good-bye. She loved her family.  She often stated, “I will leave the world a better place, because of my children and their children. They are my most beautiful and treasured legacy. IF I DO NOTHING ELSE, I DID THAT!” A celebration of life services will be held in the near future. Date and time to be determined.
