Larry Eugene Ballard

Larry Eugene Ballard, age 59 of Andersonville, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 around 6:30 pm. Member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Powell. He was honored to have served in the United States Army during the years of 1970 – 1974. He actively supported his fallen and wounded comrades and was a voice for the P.O.W./M.I.A. Survived by children Ashley Nicole Ballard of Nashville, Victoria Renee Ballard of Florida; parents Bill and Ruth Ballard of Clinton; sisters and brothers-in-law Teresa and Roy Stooksbury of Powell, Sheila and Terry Archer of Clinton; special friend Cyndy Nugent and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Doug Fielden and Rev. Charlie Tindell officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 am Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Highway for 11:30 am interment. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
