It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kimberly Diane Cole, aged 52, of Leesburg, FL, who left this world on November 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Born in Knoxville, TN, to Jackie Cole and Addie Calhoun, Kim was a vibrant spirit whose life was marked by love, laughter, and a deep connection to nature.
From a young age, Kim exhibited a passion for gymnastics, showcasing her determination and grace. As she grew, her love for the outdoors flourished; she found joy in fishing, swimming, and hiking, often dreaming of returning to the serene mountains of Tennessee that held her heart. Though she spent much of her life in Florida, her spirit was always drawn to the beauty of her childhood home. Kim's life was forever changed when she met her fiancé, Demario Jackson Sr., affectionately known as Mr. Cole. Their bond was profound, transcending the traditional definitions of marriage; they were united in spirit and love, creating a beautiful family together. Kim was a devoted mother to her daughter, Kristole Perkins, and embraced her role as a bonus mom to TJ Lott. She cherished her family fiercely, and her love extended to her beloved mother-in-law, Alice Hoskins, with whom she shared a special connection. A true animal lover, Kim treated her four furry companions—Bear, Lola, Stella Rose, and King—as cherished family members. Her heart was as big as her smile, and she was known for her kindness and compassion. Kim's best friend, Kerry Shouse, was a constant presence in her life, and together they created countless memories filled with laughter, mischief, and a shared love for Tennessee football. Their adventures, including a memorable escapade involving racing electric carts in a grocery store, are a testament to the joy they brought to each other’s lives. Professionally, Kim excelled as an accounting controller at Plaza Lincoln, where her dedication and meticulous nature created a welcoming environment for her customers. Her colleagues admired her thoroughness and organizational skills, which made her a standout in her field. Kim's faith was an integral part of her life. She looked forward to becoming a member of her grandmother's church, Little Flat Creek Baptist Church, upon returning to Tennessee, while finding solace in the teachings of Joel Osteen during her time in Florida. Her love for life was evident in her simple pleasures, from playing Monopoly Go to crafting custom citronella candles. Kim will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her radiant smile, and her unwavering love for those around her. She often echoed her grandmother's sentiment, saying, "Look at this beautiful day the Lord has given us," a phrase that encapsulated her appreciation for life’s blessings. She is preceded in death by her father, Jackie Cole; her grandmother, Minnie Covington; her uncle, Fred Covington; her uncle, Rob Terrell; the father of her daughter, Tony Lott Sr.; and many other beloved family members. Kim is survived by her fiancé, Demario Jackson Sr.; her children, Kristole (Trey) Perkins and TJ Lott; her mother, Addie (Chuck) Calhoun; her brother, Dewey Cole; her mother-in-law, Alice Hoskins; eight siblings-in-law; and a multitude of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Kimberly Diane Cole’s legacy of love, kindness, and joy will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the memories we hold dear.
