Kenneth Wayne Wolfenbarger, age 52, of Corryton, Tennessee, formerly of Powell, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2026. He was born on June 12, 1974, to Gary Wayne and Patricia Ann Wolfenbarger.
Kenny was a proud graduate of Powell High School and worked at Cummins. His greatest calling was serving the Lord and ministering to others. He was a Baptist preacher, ordained on March 20, 2011. Before his ordination, he faithfully served as a youth pastor for 13 years. He also attended seminary for two years, continuing to grow in his knowledge and love of God’s Word.
Above all else, Kenny loved his family. He was a devoted husband to Britney Faith Wolfenbarger and a loving father to Brett Montgomery Wolfenbarger and Brooklyn McKenzie Wolfenbarger. His family was his greatest joy.
Kenny enjoyed spending time at the lake fishing, hunting, and drawing. He loved making people laugh and was always joking around, even until the very end.
Kenny’s faith was something he lived each day. Through his years of ministry, he touched many lives, especially the young people he served as a youth pastor. His legacy of faith will continue through those he loved and ministered to.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Britney Wolfenbarger; son, Brett Wolfenbarger, and daughter-in-law, Mara Wolfenbarger; daughter, Brooklyn Wolfenbarger; father, Gary Wolfenbarger, and stepmother, Allene Wolfenbarger; brother, Jimmy Wolfenbarger, and sister-in-law, Tammy Wolfenbarger; nephews, Blake, Ethan, and Corbin Wolfenbarger; and many extended family members, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Kenny was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Wolfenbarger; grandparents, Leonard and Edna Ashe; and Vineyard and Bernice Wolfenbarger.
Though his absence leaves a tremendous void, Kenneth’s faith, laughter, love, and memories will live on. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of his Savior.
A celebration of Kenny’s life will be held at Clear Springs Baptist Church on Thursday, September 3,2026.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Clear Springs Baptist Church Baptist with a Celebration of Life to follow. Shane Pierce and Justin Pratt will be officiating.
