Kenneth Dean Ball

Apr 29, 1969 — Aug 22, 2026

Knoxville

Kenneth Dean Ball, age 58, was born on April 29, 1969, and passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at this home in Powell, TN. He was born at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Knoxville, TN and to his parents, Ann and Dean Ball.

Little Bit, Kenny, K Ball and Ken were names he answered to throughout his life. He was a quiet and private person. He would always help or be present when asked, yet he hardly asked anyone for help regarding himself, although he was quiet, he could be engaging. He had a good sense of humor and could speak intelligently on almost any subject.

In his youth, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports. He graduated from Halls High School in 1987. He got his Associate Degree in nursing from Roane State. Never one to settle, he went on to get his Bachelors Degree at Middle Tennessee State University. Then on to get his Masters Degree at Lincoln Memorial University in Nurse Anesthesia. Starting as a Nurse’s Assistant, to providing anesthesia for patients, he worked in healthcare for over 30 years, before he recently retired. He was a homebody at heart, but in recent years he traveled to Boston, Washington D.C., and Hawaii. He often spoke fondly of these trips but was certainly happy to return home. He enjoyed being active, walking downtown through Market Square and having early dinners at local restaurants with friends. He enjoyed classic country and 90’s rock. He loved college football and any sport related to the Vols. He was a good man that always left a person desiring to have more time with him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Ball.

He is survived by his mother, Ann Ball; brother, Stacy and his wife, Cindy; brother, Dave Denton and his wife, Sherry; and his nieces and nephews.
