Kathryn Sharp, born February 2, 1953, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and open-hearted generosity.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her beloved son, Lee Harris. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Sharp; her children, Amy Harris, Emily McClain, Timmy Sharp, Dakota Sharp, and Lexi Sharp; her grandchildren, Bridget Hartsfield, Lydia Smith, Brycen McClain, and Loriah McClain; and her great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Blaire, Sutton, Tatum, and Lil’ Larry.
Kathryn was a woman who truly loved people. She had a giving heart and was always willing to help those in need, often giving away whatever she could if she thought it might bless someone else. Her home was never empty, because she welcomed people with open arms and treated them like family. That was one of her most beautiful and admirable qualities.
She had a way of making others feel accepted, cared for, and loved. Her kindness, generosity, and big heart will be remembered by all who knew her.
Kathryn will be deeply missed, but the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through her family and the many lives she touched.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, followed by a 6:00 PM Funeral service officiated by Pastor Tony Hartsfield. Family and friends will meet at 3:45 PM on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Fort Sumter Community Cemetery for a 4:00 PM inurnment service also officiated by Pastor Tony Hartsfield.
