Katherine Chambers

Katherine Chambers, age 92, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, December 14, 2023. She had been cared for at American House Assisted Living (Hall) by a very professional and compassionate staff.

Katherine was born August 26, 1931, to Stokes and Pearl Hughes, Powell, TN. She was a devoted member of (Trinity) Community Chapel Church in Knoxville where she treasured her time leading a Healing Room.

Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Joe W. Chambers, daughter, Carol S. (Ed) King.

She is survived by sons, James (Judy) Chambers and Dennis (Darlene) Chambers; daughters, Patsy (Rick) Dyer, Cindy (Scott) Hill, Kay (Ken) Brock; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren.

A special thank you to Chaplain Phil Groos and the nurses of the UT Hospice for their services.

Family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 10:45 am at Ft. Sumter Cemetery for an 11:00 am graveside service officiated by Bro. Rick Harris, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to the Tennessee Alzheimer’s Association.
