Karen Sue Cooper

Karen S. Smith Cooper, age 54 of Halls, passed away August 20, 2012. Member of Lonsdale Baptist Church. She worked at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Childcare for 8 years. Preceded in death by parents Tom and Dorothy Smith; brother Larry Smith; uncle Wade Smith. Survived by husband Michael Cooper; son Jason Cooper; brother Ronnie Smith; sister-in-law Janette Smith; mother-in-law Opal Cooper; several nieces, nephews and a host of other family. Special thanks to mother-in-law Opal Cooper, Covenant Hospice and Ft. Sanders 2nd floor for their loving care. Funeral service 8:00 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Marvin Carter officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Friday at Ft. Sumter Community Cemetery for 11:00 am interment. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
