Karen Sue Church

Karen Church, age 64, of Knoxville, TN, entered the gates of heaven on Monday night with her children and husband present. Her unwavering faith in Jesus was her guiding light throughout her life, and those who knew her are confident that her first words upon entering eternity were, “Praise God.” A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Karen’s love and strength were rooted in her Christian faith, which she lived out daily.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Lane, and her beloved children: Tonya Dalton (spouse Mark Dalton), Katrina Lane, Ashley Manis (spouse Charles Manis), Michael Lane (spouse Anna Lane), and Tiffany Widby (spouse Wesley Widby). Her legacy continues in the hearts of her cherished grandchildren: Skyler (Makayla), Jordan (Alexus), Bryson, Hayden (spouse Ariana), Darrion, Audryona, De’Von, Ta’Tiyona, Emma, Case, Mikah, and Aubrey, Leilani. 

Karen’s memory will be honored in a Celebration of Life on Friday, October 18th, at 6:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Strawberry Plains. As we gather to remember her life, we find comfort in knowing that she is now resting in the arms of the Savior she so dearly loved.
