Justin Kelley Carmichael

Justin Kelley Carmichael, age 38, left this earthly home, Thursday, April 20, 2023, to live beside the flowing river of peace. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, and being in the mountains, volunteering for community work, and was ready for over-seas community improvement. He was an avid writer by age 11 and won a youth writer award for top 10 of the United States. By age 15 he was sharing his works in the local writing community. His culinary interest started at age 16 and it became his passion. He was preceded in death by beloved grandparents James (Gladys) Carmichael Sr., Billy (Eva) Adams, and Griffith (Estelle) Dye. He is survived by wife Eleena Carmichael, son Theo Carmichael; step-children Elias and Jonathon Ladd; daughter Aura Carmichael; father James Carmichael; mother and step-father Janet and Timothy Hickman; sisters Sarah and Karen Hope Carmichael, Ashley, Alexis, and Tara Hickman; brothers Steve and Derek Lowery; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Family will receive friends 1:00-3:00pm Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel.
