Justin Dewayne Brown

Justin DeWayne Brown, age 39, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on May 13, 2025, at 4:02 p.m. in Chattanooga, surrounded by his immediate family.

Born on May 28, 1985, in Knoxville, Justin brought warmth, laughter, and a generous spirit into the lives of everyone who knew him. His presence was magnetic—fiercely loyal to those he loved, and always ready with a kind word or helping hand.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Lee Carter.

Justin is survived by his loving mother, Shannon Brown; his five cherished children: LeAnn Sharpe, McKenzie Brown, Jeremiah Brown, Trinity Brown, and Minyr Brown; and his beloved grandchildren, Brentley and Austin. He also leaves behind his grandmother, Sandra Keck; his sisters Kayla, Samantha, Shantel, and Savannah; and his brother Matthew. Each of them held a special place in his heart.

Justin’s legacy will live on in the lives he touched—with family, friends, and the community who will remember his vibrant personality, his deep love for those close to him, and his passion for working on cars—a craft he took pride in and truly enjoyed. Justin never met a stranger. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, and he lived life with all of his being—full of energy, heart, and an unmistakable spark that won’t be forgotten.

His love, laughter, and light will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by an 11:00 am funeral service. After the service family and friends will meet at 12:45 pm at Highland Memorial (5315 Kingston Pike Knoxville, TN 37919) for a 1:00 pm interment. Pallbearers: Scotty Young, Jesse Daughtry, Jeremiah Brown, Matthew Jones, Michael Ligouri, and Billy Hanley.
